Sinto America Exhibits at AFS Metalcasting Congress

In April, Sinto America was proud to serve as both a sponsor and exhibitor at the AFS Metalcasting Congress, held this year in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The annual event brought together metalcasting professionals from across the industry, providing an excellent opportunity for education, networking, and the exchange of ideas about the future of metalcasting.

Sinto was well represented at the show, with many team members in attendance, including colleagues from HWS. The Sinto America exhibit featured a 10×30 booth that showcased several of the company’s latest technologies and solutions. Displays included electric cylinders demo mold handling line, Live Sinto Smart Foundry digital solutions, and Tinker Omega Sinto sand mixers, all of which generated strong interest and sparked valuable conversations with attendees.

In addition to product demonstrations and customer engagement, the show was also a time to celebrate outstanding contributions within the metalcasting community. During the Congress, Wil Tinker, Director of Sales for the Tinker Omega Sinto Product Line, was honored by the American Foundry Society with a Service Citation Award. This recognition highlights Wil’s decades of dedication and service to the metalcasting industry, as well as his long‑standing involvement with AFS and its regional chapters. His commitment to helping foundry leaders better understand solutions, overcome challenges, and capitalize on new opportunities has had a lasting impact on the industry. Sinto America extends its sincere congratulations to Wil on this well‑deserved honor.

It is also with great pleasure that Sinto America announces that Jim Wenson, Director of After‑Sales & Digital Solutions, was selected by the Engineering & Smart Manufacturing Division of the American Foundry Society Technical Council to receive the 2026 Norris B. Luther Award. This prestigious award recognizes individuals for their dedication, leadership, and significant contributions to the AFS Engineering Division and to the metalcasting industry as a whole. Jim’s selection reflects his commitment to advancing technology, innovation, and customer support within the industry.

Michael Halsband, CEO Sinto America, was also honored as part of the American Foundry Society Directors Class of 2022-2026.

Overall, the AFS Metalcasting Congress proved to be a great success for Sinto America. The event provided valuable time to reconnect with current customers, engage with industry peers, and explore new opportunities for future collaboration. Sinto America would like to thank the American Foundry Society for hosting such a well‑organized and impactful event and looks forward to continued participation in future AFS conferences.
