Vibratory Finishing
Vibratory finishing is a type of mass finishing manufacturing process used to deburr, radius, descale, burnish, clean, and brighten a large number of work pieces. Sinto Surface Technologies uses both bowl and tub type vibratory units to provide both coarse and fine surface finishes as is appropriate. The key to achieving the desired finish is the proper media, correct chemical composition, time and amplitude. The bowl or tub of the vibratory machine and all of its contents are then vibrated. The vibratory action causes the media to rub against the work pieces which yield the desired result. Depending on the application this can be either a dry or wet process. Sinto Surface Technologies offers this capability at multiple locations and we can design a process that will meet your needs for aerospace, automotive, transportation and other industrial applications.
FEATURES:
- Robust processes that can develop clean, coarse polished and burr-free substrates efficiently and affordably.
- Sinto Surface Technologies specializes in this capability at our Wallingford Plant and can provide these services through our network of facilities in the Northeast, Midwest and Southeast.
- Allows for “One Purchase Order” approach to surface processing needs, as super finishing typically is a post-process for other surface modification processes and techniques.
